Theresa Roe
Network Coordinator, Aboriginal Peak Organisations NT (APO NT)
Theresa Roe is a proud Yawuru, Gurindji and Torres Strait Islander woman, born and bred in Darwin, the home of the Larrakia people.
She has spent the last 35 years working with Aboriginal people in the urban areas, remote communities, homelands and outstations of the NT in the areas of health, education, employment, economic development, housing, law and justice, land and sea and governance and leadership.
Today Theresa works for the 8 Aboriginal peak bodies in NT – the 4 land councils, housing, legal aid, Indigenous businesses, and health. Theresa is director on two Aboriginal corporations in Darwin pursuing economic development opportunities for Aboriginal people in Northern Australia.
