Craig Frean
Coordinator, Back on Track, Jesuit Social Services
Craig Frean is a Senior Practitioner leading Jesuit Social Services’ delivery of the Back on Track program in Katherine, focusing on restorative responses to young people in contact with the justice system. Originally trained as and working across Australia as a butcher, Craig was introduced to restorative justice and the Group Conferencing processes in 2011. Since then, he has built his passion and skill in youth work, including roles leading the delivery of the Katherine YMCA’s Youth Diversion team, coordinating the Katherine Moto-Scout program, and managing multiple residential houses in Katherine. With Craig’s leadership, the Back on Track program in Katherine has embedded Jesuit Social Services’ commitment to ecological justice, supporting young people’s connection to place, and healthy relationships with each other and the natural world.
