Kirsten is narrative therapist and social worker, working within the youth justice sector. She lives and works on unceded Arrernte Country.

Kirsten is a white settler of Scottish decent, and a woman with cisgender privilege. She works within a social justice framework that requires an intersectional understanding in practice that makes visible the social inequalities, power imbalances and systemic discrimination experienced by young people, families and communities.

Her experience includes work within youth justice, social and emotional wellbeing within education, children’s therapeutic teams, sexual assault and family support. In addition to her current role Coordinating NAAJA’s Mparntwe based Youth Throughcare team, Kirsten is the Chairperson of Central Australian Youth Justice (CAYJ) - a respected advocate for the legal, social, cultural and developmental rights of all young people in Central Australia.
